Lahore, 17 Oct 2023:A recent survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan has revealed that 21% of Pakistani adult men and women believe there are justifiable reasons for husbands to hit their wives. The study sampled a nationally representative group of adults from across the country. This information was sourced from the Gallup Pakistan.

Participants in the survey were posed with the question: “Please tell me to what extent you agree or disagree with the following statements? – Husbands can hit their wives under certain circumstances, and it’s not wrong?” In response to this query, a vast majority (78%) disagreed with the statement, while 1% either didn’t know or chose not to respond.
