Karachi: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) recently hosted the "Start-Up Summit 6.0: From Concept to Success" at its I.T. Tower, bringing together students, faculty, and industry experts to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The summit, organized by the Faculty of Management, Business Administration, and Commerce Business Incubation Center, featured over 130 aspiring entrepreneurs presenting 34 start-up ideas, highlighting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the students.
According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, the summit was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, alongside other key faculty members. Dr. Sahrai emphasized the importance of original ideas in business success and encouraged young entrepreneurs to seek guidance from the university's Business Incubation Centre to develop their ventures. The event provided a platform for students to interact with mentors and industry experts, transforming innovative ideas into viable business opportunities.
The summit showcased a range of projects, including herbal and organic products, digital marketing solutions, low-cost investment initiatives, recruitment tools, agriculture products, healthcare devices, and environmentally friendly solutions. Faculty and industry experts commended students for their innovative approaches and underscored the role of entrepreneurship in economic growth.
