Karachi, September 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari in his message on the occasion of Defence Day has paid homage to the martyrs of the nation. He paid tribute to all the heroes martyred on 6 September.
In his message, President Zardari said that the martyred leader of the people, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto ensured the defence of the country by giving it a nuclear programme. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, following the footsteps of her father, further strengthened the defence of the country by giving it missile technology. President Zardari said that it is owed to the sacrifices of the martyrs and efforts of the leaders of the country that today, no enemy can even think of harming our beloved homeland.
President Zardari said that upholding the Constitution of the country while strengthening the Parliament is the guarantee of the country’s security and sovereignty. We have to rid the beautiful valleys of Pakistan from terrorists who aim to destroy our motherland, he resolved.
