Karachi, August 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): Milestone Achievement: We are pleased to announce that the clinical laboratories of Indus Hospital and Health Network’s (IHHN) Multan Cluster; Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases (MIKD) and Recep Tayyab Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh (RTEH) have successfully achieved ISO-15189 accreditation with full scope. It manifests a significant milestone in our commitment to providing quality healthcare services. This accreditation serves as a testament to our dedication to excellence, continual improvement, compliance with quality management system, and customer satisfaction. This achievement was not possible without the facilitation of organizational management and support departments.
ISO-15189 is specifically designed international standard for medical laboratories to ensure the highest level of quality, safety, and competence in diagnostic testing and patient care. This accreditation covers all aspects of laboratory operations, including management, personnel competence, equipment, testing processes, quality control, and document control. By attaining ISO-15189 accreditation, IHHN’s Multan Cluster (MIKD and RTEH) demonstrated a great ability to meet and surpass the rigorous standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This achievement speaks volumes about our laboratory’s adherence to international best practices and our commitment to providing accurate and reliable testing results.

In a momentous celebration of achievement, Dr. Adnan Mustafa Zubairi (Director of Clinical Laboratory – Outreach), graced Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in Muzaffargarh to commemorate the successful ISO-15189. During this joyous occasion, he bestowed commendations upon the hardworking staff for their dedication and pivotal role in attaining this prestigious recognition. Dr. Mehmooda Altaf, Sarwar Abbas (Deputy Manager Lab), Dr. Faiza Rafiq, Quality Assurance, and their teams were praised for their contributions leading to this remarkable feat.
