Islamabad, July 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Athletics Federation of Pakistan is thrilled to announce that Muhammad Talha Iftikhar, CECS Level – I Lecturer, has reached a significant milestone in his officiating career by securing the World Athletics Silver-Level Referee certification. Talha’s exceptional achievement is a testament to his expertise and unwavering dedication to excellence in the field of athletics officiating. In a competitive International Examination organized by World Athletics, 400 top technical officials from around the world, including 4 from Pakistan, showcased their skills and knowledge. It is with immense pride that Talha has been declared as the first and only Pakistani to attain the highly-coveted Silver-Level Referee certification, positioning him among the top five referees to successfully clear the examination in Asia.
With this distinguished certification, Talha Iftikhar will be entrusted to officiate athletics track and field events at the international level. His responsibilities may encompass presiding over some of the most prestigious competitions in the world, including the Olympic Games, World Championships, the Diamond League, and the World Athletics Continental Tour.
