The basis of the politics of Pakistan People’s Party is to bring justice to the common man: Foreign Minister and Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Karachi, February 25, 2023 (PPI-OT):Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the amount of Benazir Income Support Program will be increased by 25 percent immediately and the aid money will also be provided to the small farmers affected by the floods from the Sindh government soon.

He further said that the basis of the politics of Pakistan People’s Party is to give rights to the common man. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of dynamic registry of deserving women under Benazir Income Support Program by NADRA, Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister said that the concept of this revolutionary program was given by martyr Ms. Benazir Bhutto in her manifesto. He said that regarding the general elections of 2007, Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto presented the concept of this program in her manifesto, looking at the poverty, inflation and economic crisis in the country.

He said that the purpose of Benazir Income Support Program is to revolutionize the lives of the weakest women in the country. He said that when this program was being launched, the country’s bureaucracy, opposition politicians and so-called intellectuals were against it.

He said that before the start of the Benazir Income Support Program, the opponents used to say that the people were being made beggars. He further said that 1000 may not mean much too many people, but that 1000 rupees received under the Benazir Income Support Program can change the fortunes of a poor person, a child or a mother. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that during his presidency, President Asif Ali Zardari fought against the entire system to implement the Benazir Income Support Program and by holding meetings every week in the President’s House, the poor women across the country were given assistance money within a year. Ensured delivery.

He said that we have made the Benazir Income Support Program the most transparent institution. International organizations including the United Nations appreciate the Benazir Income Support Program. PPP Chairman said that there are two types of political parties in the world. The first type of party says that if the rich are made richer, they will provide employment to more people, while the second type of party believes that no matter how much the rich are made richer, their scope for providing employment is still the same. Will be limited.

He added that I have noticed that the richer a man is, the more miserly he is. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Benazir Income Support Program not only runs a woman’s house, but also small businesses run along with it.

He said that even today there is inflation, unemployment and economic crisis in the country. Under these circumstances, in the light of the PPP philosophy, the amount of Benazir Income Support Program should be increased as well as the number of beneficiaries. He said that the Benazir Income Support Program is one to reduce poverty in the country.

The PPP Chairman said that it is sad to say that Imran Khan used to say during his tenure that he did not come to government to see the prices of tomatoes and onions, but we have to see the prices of tomatoes and onions as well. We are in the government to give relief to the common man.

He said that we know that Imran Khan had a doctorate behind him, and if there was to be a cut from anywhere, it was done from the money of the Benazir Income Support Program. He said that it is the result of the prayers of deserving women of Benazir Income Support Program that the conspirators against this program failed and this revolutionary program continues.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also appreciated the services of the German ambassador regarding flood victims and Benazir Income Support Program. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation Shazia Atta Marri and others were also present on this occasion.

Brits traverses tough roads to achieve success

Dubai, February 25, 2023 (PPI-OT):That’s according to her mentor and current Namibia Women’s coach Francois van der Merwe.

Brits has not travelled the conventional road to being a professional cricketer. In fact, she wasn’t even a cricketer until crossing paths with Van der Merwe at the North West University campus.

At the time Brits was still dealing with the disappointment of missing out on fulfilling her lifelong dream of representing South Africa at the London 2012 Olympics in javelin due to being involved in a nasty car crash.

The mental trauma, in conjunction with the physical healing that took close to six months after the accident, was still fresh in Brits’s mind.

She needed a new challenge. Something to take her mind away from what she may have lost out on. Enter Van der Merwe and an intervention.

“I, honestly, don’t like talking about these things, because it’s Tazmin’s time to shine. She’s the one that has done all the hard work and lifted herself up from a really dark place,” Van der Merwe said.

“I know her parents very well. And she came to live with me for a few months. We had long chats during that time. It was a really tough period for her. But we had to focus on what she could still achieve on a different path. That’s when she poured all her energies into cricket and the North West provincial team that dominated South Africa’s women’s domestic cricket when she was our captain.”

But even after deciding cricket was her next adventure, there remained hurdles for Brits to overcome.

She was not a rookie trying to make her way that could rely on financial support from elsewhere. She had responsibilities that needed to be seen to, which forced her to take on a job as a waitress at a local restaurant in Potchefstroom whilst playing cricket.

The disappointment of missing out on selection to the Proteas’ squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia was a heavy cross to bear as she was one of the leading run-scorers in South Africa’s domestic competition at the time.

But with the likes of former stalwarts such as Lizelle Lee and Dane van Niekerk occupying the opening batter positions, there was no place for Brits and she was very close to retiring from the game altogether, especially as she was not in possession of a Cricket SA contract at the time.

That’s not the Brits way though. And instead, she worked harder than ever, and is now the second-leading run-scorer at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with 176 runs at an average of 44 heading into Sunday’s much-anticipated final against Australia at Newlands.

“She will find a way to keep scoring runs. She doesn’t have the prettiest of techniques. But she will find a way,” Van der Merwe said.

“She backs away to leg-stump when the ball moves into her, and I saw that again in the semi-final against England. Yet, she still played a match-winning innings. That’s what Tazmin is about … she finds a way.

“She is such a competitor. It stems from her athletics background. It was hard initially for her, coming from an individual sport where she relied solely on herself for her success, to now have to count on her teammates.

“But that’s what she does. She will inspire the dressing room and drag everyone with her over the line. Look at those catches, she was always in the game. When you have had to fight for everything that you have ever received in your life, you find a way in the hard times.”

The entire South Africa will hope that Britz finds a way again on Sunday for the Proteas to be crowned ICC Women’s T20 world champions for the first time at Newlands.
