ThreatLocker® Unveils the Future of Zero Trust with New Products

Global Cybersecurity leader unifies critical components of their stack with new Ops and other features.

Orlando, FL, Feb. 02, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ThreatLocker®, a pioneer in endpoint protection technologies, has today announced at Zero Trust World the launch of ThreatLocker Ops, a community-driven threat detection tool. This new product assists administrators to detect attempted breaches or weaknesses in their systems.

NFTP Graduation Ceremony held at IIUI 

Islamabad, February 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):A graduation ceremony of the National Freelance Training Program (NFTP) was held at the new campus of the International Islamic University (IIU) on Thursday. President IIU, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi as a chief guest distributed the certificates among the students. On this occasion, certificates were distributed among 301 students who completed their training at IIUI centre. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Ali Aghar, Senior Joint Secretary Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Program manager, PITB, Mr. Muhammad Amjad, members of the PITB, Vice Presidents of IIUI, Deans DGs and senior faculty members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hathal said that digital transformation is an important aspect of the modern higher education landscape, and it has the potential to transform the way students learn, the way teachers teach, and the way researchers conduct research. He said that the self-employment programs for youth are vital for the growth and development of any nation. He added that universities must encourage entrepreneurship and prime focus must be on providing students with an enabling environment of Digi skills and opportunities to pursue freelancing career. It will equip them with the tools they need to succeed. “By encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation, we can help to create new businesses, new jobs, and new opportunities for all, IIU President opined.

Mr. Ali Aghar said that the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom is focusing on reducing unemployment and promoting youth sustainability. He said the ministry is working to provide an enabling environment for the youth to be involved in emerging technologies. He said the ministry is keen to provide training and expertise to youth in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, cyber security, E-knowledge, block chain and E-health. He assured of continued efforts for the digitally skilled youth.

Mr. Amjad told that this project is covering 3 main domains including technical, creative design and content marketing to the citizens who own a Bachelor’s degree and are under the age of 40. He told that 20 k household have benefited from these centers that are 20 in total and 20 more soon being added.

Earlier, Dean Faculty of Computing and IT, Dr. Asmatullah Khan in his welcome address discussed the importance of freelancing and role of IIU in promoting contemporary training and technology. He thanked IIUI management, ministry of IT and telecom and PITB for the cooperation. He informed that IIUI is the pioneer university in the region to establish a dedicated center with the help of ministry and PITB. Incharge IT and Focal person NFTP Program Qazi Shehzad Saleem and his team were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur is catering academic needs of the area with excellence and providing a viable platform to youth for their capacity building. He said I am optimistic that under the Higher Education opportunities in US, the Faculty Members and Students will be benefited.

He briefed that Wayne State University established in 1868 having 27000 students. Students from 80 countries are getting their education. The University has 350 degree programs. Ms. Xinyo talked on Global Engagement and Partnership regarding International Students Programs at Michigan State University. She said it is a global University promoting civic education, rule of law and working on indigenous issues.

It is top of among 100 Universities of world having 200 academic programs. She said that the thematic research is being conducted on 39 programs i.e. food and agriculture, education and learning, health and nutrition, environment and energy.

She revealed that currently we are embarking two research projects in Pakistan on interfaith community building and women leadership in higher education in Punjab province. She said that the purpose of visit at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur aimed at to capacity building, trainings, research projects, visit of scholars and students and faculty, student’s exchange.

Dr. Brittany Afolter said that Michigan State University is working on University Research Corridor Cluster. The purpose is to share the advance knowledge at global level and increasing prosperity and connecting the Michigan State University to world. Mr. Ali Chohan, Education Advisor US Consulate, Karachi said that US government is committed to provide educational opportunities to Pakistani students.

Mr. Bilal Rizvi from US Consulate, Karachi apprised the faculty and students about the salient features of Undergraduate and Fulbright Scholarship Program under United State Education Foundation Pakistan (USEFP). First merit list announced 

Khairpur, February 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):Prof. Dr. Abdullah Mailto, Director Admissions, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has announced the first merit list of B.S Part-I of selected candidates of all Institutes and Departments and Faculties for the academic year 2023.

All the successful candidates are advised to download the admission offer letter from the student portal/website of SALU and bring along with original documents, i.e. CNIC/B Form, Matriculation Mark sheet, Intermediate Mark Sheet, transfer certificate, Domicile, and Affidavit to verify them from the concerned Departments/Institute up to 13 February 2023.

After verification download the challan from the website and pay it via HBL Konnect, then submit your documents along with the paid challan to the Office of the Director Admissions. The last date to pay the fees is 13 February 2023.
