Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi strongly condemns assassination attempt on PML-N MPA Bilal Yasin

Lahore, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has strongly condemned the assassination attempt on PML-N MPA Bilal Yasin. He said that the perpetrators of such heinous acts should be brought to book and punished immediately.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that MPA Bilal Yasin should be given the best medical facilities, we pray that he will recover soon and serve the people of the constituency again. He said that the government should arrest the accused as soon as possible to maintain the rule of law so that no one would dare to do it again.

In-House Meeting with H.E. Dr. Tarek Dahroug, Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan 

Islamabad, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa (CAMEA) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted the Honourable Ambassador of the Egypt to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Tarek Dahroug today.

His Excellency was received at the Institute by Director CAMEA, Ms. Amina Khan. He was accompanied by Defence Attache at the Embassy of Egypt Col. Mahmoud Hassan, Second Secretary Ahmed Reda Yousry, Dr. Muhammad Mujahid Abu Taha and Dr Kemal Hassan. During the meeting, the discussion premised on the situation in Afghanistan and the need for increased cooperation and coordination through research and dialogue.

IBA alumnus secures World Bank Scholarship 

Karachi, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Mr. Javed Ahmed, EMBA Class of 2014, has successfully secured a scholarship from the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) to pursue a Master’s in Information Systems from Kobe Institute of Computing, Japan. Mr. Ahmed is currently serving as Deputy Director IT at Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Karachi.

All religions have complete freedom in Pakistan, happiness of all minorities is shared: Ch Parvez Elahi 

Lahore, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):Archbishop Lahore Sebastian Francis Shaw along with the delegation called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his residence and cut the New Year cake. The delegation included Father Mushtaq Piyara, Sister Teresa Yaqub, Sister Clare Yusuf and Asher Javed.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that we equally share the happiness of the Christian community because they have a very important role in the education and development of Pakistan. The love of the Christian community for the homeland is unforgettable. He said that all religions have complete freedom in Pakistan.

Archbishop Lahore Sebastian Francis Shaw thanked Ch Parvez Elahi and said that for the first time as the Chief Minister of Punjab, he had set up a separate ministry for minorities, returned all Christian institutions and properties, allocated funds in the budget for rehabilitation and repair of churches and give property rights to the slums for which the entire minority community is grateful to you.

The present government is taking exemplary steps for overseas Pakistanis, as allies they are trying to solve the country’s problems in an efficient manner: Ch Parvez Elahi 

Lahore, January 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):President Pak Federation Spain Saqib Tahir and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Chaudhry Tahir Kathala called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the Assembly Chamber today. Party matters and national issues were discussed during the meeting.

During the meeting, Ch Parvez Elahi said that the present government is taking exemplary steps for overseas Pakistanis. He said that overseas Pakistanis are playing a key role in strengthening the national economy. The Speaker said that migrants are an asset of Pakistan, these people work hard day and night in foreign lands and send valuable foreign exchange to Pakistan and contribute more and more in the development of the country.

He said that expatriates are patriotic and talented due to which the name of Pakistan is shining in the world. Later, Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Parvez Elahi also gifted a frame of Quranic verse and hadith prepared regarding Khatam-e-Nubawwat (PBUH). Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti, DG Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak were also present on the occasion.
