Memorandum of Understanding signs between Sailani Welfare and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology 

Karachi, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Sailani Welfare and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) to promote the vision of the Honourable President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, for technological advancement. The purpose of the MoU is to introduce new technologies to the youth and updated them with the latest trends to compete in global market.

No tolerance for culprits of recent incident: President IIUI 

Islamabad, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting in which he has said university will show no tolerance to the culprits of the recent violent incident, while he has directed the Students Discipline Committee to expedite the proceedings and bring the criminals to the task as soon as possible. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Presidents, Deans, DGs, Executive Directors, relevant Directors, Provosts and Students Advisors.

The IIUI President said that no stone should be left unturned for the honest and speedy concluding of the case. He said the management would not hesitate to take any action against the elements that are on the agenda to defame the image of IIUI. He directed the concerned officials to hand over the evidences, record and relevant information to Students Discipline Committee so that it may punish the miscreants. “IIUI has international stature, it is the place of renowned scholars, intellectuals and researchers, we shall make an example of those who have been trying to de-track the university’s progressing journey” Dr. Hathal said.

Meanwhile, Students Discipline Committee met here at the new campus on Tuesday in which it reviewed the available record and information provided. The committee reiterated the resolve it will complete all its procedures and results within minimum time. In addition, a notification has also been issued with a mention of the decision of the university’s Board of Governors (BoG) in which it was decided that all students’ organizations were banned and students were advised to observe university’s code of conduct. It said that violators should be proceeded under the disciplinary rules.

One day long Research Meeting of SAFE-RH Pakistani Partners held at Capital University 

Islamabad, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Capital University of Science and Technology Islamabad in collaboration with COMSAT University Islamabad and Islamia University Bahawalpur organized a one-day Research Meeting of SAFE-RH Pakistani Partners on 7th Dec, 2021 to discuss the current progress and further agenda of research. SAFE-Rural-Health is a project funded by European Union provides an education and training system to help doctors and healthcare workers understand the effectiveness of new technologies. It is required to develop a system that can provide digital health services to patients living in remote areas of Pakistan which are often difficult to reach. The overall objective of developing Smart Healthcare system in Pakistan is to support the provision of healthcare services.

The Meeting was hosted by Prof. Dr. M. Mansoor Ahmad (VC CUST), Dr. M. Abdul Qadir (Dean FoC), Dr. Amir Iqbal Bhatti (Dean ORIC), Dr. Amir Qayyum (Dean ELIC), and Dr. Nayyer Masood (Coordinator SAFE-RH). Dr. Nayyer Masood welcomed the partner universities himself. The purpose of the meeting was to get insights into the current progress of each partner University and to build up more collaborative strategies of the SAFE-RH project. The research meeting helped all the participants to understand the works of each partner University. Furthermore, meeting provided opportunities for the members to exchange new ideas and new tasks to be accomplished were set by each partner along with the deadline of completion. Meeting was started at 12:15 pm noon. Each partner gave presentations of their work done, and ongoing work.

President Asif Ali Zardari’s message on Quaid-e-Awam’s birth anniversary 

Islamabad, January 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, in his message on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, paid rich tributes to the Quaid-e-Awam. Asif Ali Zardari said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto helped people realize and express their political consciousness. He rebuilt a devastated country.

Quaid-e-Awam honourably repatriated 93,000 army officers and soldiers from the captivity of the enemy, while recovering thousands of square meters of land from the enemy. He transformed a defeated country into a dignified nation. He gave the 1973 constitution and made us a nuclear power.
