PTI led government has dropped another inflation bomb on the people by tabling a mini budget of approximately Rs350 billion rupees

Karachi, December 31, 2021 (PPI-OT):The leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have said that PTI led government has dropped another inflation bomb on the people by tabling a mini budget of approximately Rs350 billion rupees and further tax has levied on essential food items including the baby milk while the prices of medicine has also been increased for the 13th time. Government has given the extension to those six ordinances that had already expired which is an illegal procedure.

They added that PPP will bring a no-confidence motion against the Speaker of the National Assembly very soon after the consultation with the opposition parties. Pakistan’s nuclear program is also in danger because of the prevailing bad situation of the country.

This was expressed by the PPP leaders, Naveed Qamar, Shazia Marri and Faisal Karim Kundi in a joint press conference held here on today at Islamabad. Sayed Naveed Qamar said that Federal Government while continuing its anti-people policies, has approved a mini budget of three hundred and fifty billion rupees and this money would come out of the pockets of the people.

He added that government claimed that International Monetary Fund (IMF) asked them for levying a tax of Rs 750 billion rupees but they have levied a tax of Rs. 350 billion rupees and present government is continuously talking lies with the people and these taxes would be applicable this year and even more burden of taxes would also be expected in the month of June in upcoming year.

The stalwart of PPP Sayed Naveed Qamar said that PTI government has imposed a tax on medicines and the prices of medicines have increased by 12th times in three and a half years. PTI government has also raised the prices of children milk by levied taxes in mini budget.

The new taxes have been imposed in mini budge including on the milk of the children and even they could levy taxes on the oxygen in the country. He uttered that interest rate has been raised to overcome on the skyrocketing inflation and the situation of the salaried class is also not good in the country.

He warned the government that don’t push the people towards the wall by making such anti-people policies so that people constrained to come out on the streets and roads and it would be difficult for the PTI to run the government.

Naveed Qamar further said that the National Assembly has given the extension to the six ordinances which had expired and we had sent a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly by stating that the status of these ordinances is illegal. He added that it is not right decision of the government to take three hundred and fifty billion more from the inflation and poverty striken people and the State Bank of Pakistan should be acted as an autonomous body.

He said that PTI’s government has just presented a finance bill which was opposed by the opposition parties and further it would be brought under the debate in the National Assembly and we will not allow it to pass easily. Shazia Atta Marri said that Pakistan is facing several crisis and unprecedented inflation causing miseries and difficulties for the common people and people are suffering because of the bad policies of government.

She added that incapable and incompetent rulers are making false statements despite of this, government is facing defeats at all grounds. The government is treating the State Bank of Pakistan in the same way as the ordinary bank being dealt and State Bank of Pakistan will not be accountable to anyone. Ms Marri said that PTI led government ignored the parliament by not bringing national security policy in the national assembly for discussion.

She further said that it is a shameful and disgusting act of the government that if the public representatives would not be allowed to talk about a policy that is made for Pakistan. The National Assembly must be run with the accordance of the rules of the House. Shazia Marri said that opposition parties staged demonstration against the government regarding the National Security policy and boycotted the session but government’s members tried to stop the protest.

She added that whenever the opposition parties stage protest, government often pushes its women members at front and the same thing happened in yesterday’s session of the National Assembly. She uttered that the inflation rate has reached at 11.5% in the country while the scarcity of gas and crisis of urea fertilizer is being faced by the country.

Shazia Marri said that the members of the government are saying that there is no inflation in the country and proclaimed that our country is the cheapest in the region but such statements are being made to hide their incompetence.
