Capital University Arranged a Session on “Be Strategic in the Midst of Conflict” 

Islamabad, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Department of Management Science arrange a seminar on “Be Strategic in The Midst of Conflict” on 15th December 2021 and the guest speaker at a seminar was Dr. Sundas Azeem (Lecturer, SZABIST, Islamabad). she is a teacher, trainer, researcher and currently teaching at SZABIST, Islamabad and having a rich 6 years of teaching experience. Her teaching areas include human behaviour at the workplace, psychology, and management. she supervises thesis in similar domains. She is a novice researcher in areas of attributions, impression management, and workplace politics. She is also a regular reviewer for various international journals and conferences.

This seminar is going to be a great opportunity to enhance students’ knowledge and skills regarding Conflict Management. Conflict is a very integral part of life and students must know about how to manage conflict in their Professional and Personal life. The Thematic Focus of the seminar is to Developing Personal Communication Skills, Managing Conflict, Confidence Building, Self-Assessment, Understanding Others’ styles, and Effective Communication. Closing remarks were given by our Chief guest Dr. Lakhi Muhammad, HOD Management Sciences Program, and presented the souvenir to the guest.

On APS Peshawar massacre anniversary, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari calls for complete implementation of NAP 

Karachi, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tribute to the martyrs of APS Peshawar and demanded that the beasts who planned, facilitated and carried out the massacre of the innocent children and teachers must be brought to justice.

In a message on the anniversary of APS Peshawar massacre, the PPP Chairman said that nation still deepest feels the pain of this great tragedy and everyone is waiting for justice to the innocent souls. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his family and Party being victim of terrorism itself will continue to raise voice against extremism and terrorism.

PPP Chairman said that selective implementation of National Action Plan should be done away with and the NAP must be implemented in toto. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari saluted to those parents and families who lost their loved ones in the APS tragedy and expressed solidarity with them.

Concerns regarding rising unemployment persist as 74% Pakistanis say that unemployment has risen as compared to the last 6 months: Consumer Confidence Index Q3 2021 by Gallup Pakistan and Dun and Bradstreet

Islamabad, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a Consumer Confidence Index survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, concerns regarding rising unemployment persist as 74% Pakistanis say that unemployment has risen as compared to the last 6 months.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “In your opinion, compared to the previous six months, today’s unemployment has?” In response to this question, 32% said ‘increased a lot’, 48% said ‘increased’, 7% said ‘stayed the same’, 9% said ‘decreased’ and 2% said ‘decreased a lot’. 2% said don’t know or provided no response.

UVAS holds walk and seminar to mark Anti-Corruption Day 

Lahore, December 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Senior Tutor Office and Character Building Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) organized a walk, seminar and poster competition to mark anti-corruption day with the theme of ‘Say No To Corruption’ to create awareness among public and young generation against corruption in all segments of society.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad along with Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani led the walk while Principal Student Affairs Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Senior Tutor Prof Dr Ali Raza Awan and a number of faculty member and students participated. The walk started from in front of the Vice-Chancellor Office and culminated at in front of Administration Block after took a round of the city campus.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said that it is necessary to eradicate various types of corruption from the society like favouritism, deficiency in merit, illegal use of power, bribery, morally and financially corruption etc. He lauded the role of National Accountability Bureau to eradicate corruption from the society and enforce of anti-corruption measures. He said UVAS Character Building Society also playing a vital role to create awareness among public against corruption. Prof Dr Masood Rabbani said that we can’t fight corruption until we emphasize on Islamic morals values, ethics and character education of our peoples. At the end Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad distributed certificates among the winner of poster competitions.
