Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s message on International Literacy Day

Islamabad, September 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the promotion of literacy, be it the incumbent Selected-government or the undemocratic governments of the past, never remained among their priorities. It is a matter of big concern that Pakistan is lagging behind every country in the region except Afghanistan in the field of education and literacy.

In a statement issued from Media Cell Bilawal House on the occasion of International Literacy Day, PPP Chairman expressed his grave concern over the reports that more than 20 million school-age children are out of school in the country, adding that Education is the basic right of every child. He said that it is the duty of the state to make education equally accessible to all, especially girls. “In the wake of a global pandemic, Covid-19, modernization of programs such as adult education and non-formal education is need of the hour to ensure the continuity of learning”, he added.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regretted that the incumbent government’s agenda was not to increase literacy, rather its complete focus is on changing the name of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and its component the Waseela Taleem Program.

PPP Chairman pointed out that significant and basic steps, in the field of education, had only been taken during the tenure of PPP governments. Whether it were governments led by the Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, or the people’s government under the leadership of Mard-e-Hur Asif Ali Zardari, the largest number of schools and universities, in the history of the country, were established during the tenure of said governments. “The People’s Government of Sindh has allocated Rs. 277.5 billion for the Education and Literacy Department during the current financial year”, he maintained.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that promotion of education has always been one of the top priorities of the Pakistan People’s Party, and he vowed that his party, after winning next general elections in the country, would resume its efforts to increase the literacy rate, which had been dumped into cold storage since past eight years.

The PPP will form government in the Centre and Punjab: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Islamabad, September 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressing a workers’ convention of his party has said that if we work hard like this no power can stop us from forming next PPP government in Pakistan and Punjab. Chairman PPP said that we will together provide relief to the poor people of Pakistan. If any party as provided for small growers, labourers, youth and women then it is only Pakistan Peoples Party. The economic policy of both the PTI and PML-N governments is to benefit rich people and they think that Pakistan will develop this way.

The PPP manifesto from the times of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto is an economic policy which benefits the poor and it is proved that Pakistan develops and prospers through this. Quaid-e-Awam despite the dismemberment of the country had helped the growers and made them owners of their land and Pakistan started progressing. During Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s time, the people’s slogan was ‘Benazir aaye gi, Rozgar laye gi’.

President Zardari during his tenure was standing with the poor and introduced BISP. These two parties used to criticize us, but now it has also been proved that by making women independent and empowered, the economy grows. President Zardari stood by the salaried class instead of the rich and increased their salaries by 120 percent and pensions by a 100 percent. If you want to side with the people, you have to support the PPP to fulfil the mission and dream of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

The foundation of PTI was laid in Lodhran and the money of Lodhran had formed the government of the PTI. Now, the PTI will be buried in Lodhran. The people are suffering for the last three years. Quaid-e-Awan and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto accepted martyrdom for the people. Chairman PPP said that whoever has raised the slogan of ‘Jeay Bhutto’ once is their lifetime is needed by the party. I need your support to save Punjab and Pakistan. If we continue to work hard like this, we will chase out the puppet and establish Awami Raj, there will be a jiyala prime minister and jiyala chief minister of Punjab.

Earlier in the day, Imran Mumtaz Bhabha from Melsi announced to join PPP after meeting PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the PPP Secretariat, Multan. Electronic Media Bureau Chief and Senior Journalists met PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Multan. Journalists appreciated Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s stance on Media Development Authority Bill.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assures journalists that the PPP will continue to support the struggle for freedom of expression. Malik Shahadat Hussain, Amir Iqbal Bhatta, Mumtaz Niazi, Yasir Sheikh, Wajihul Hassan, Javed Anbar, Noman Khan Babar, Muhammad Sharif Joya, Taseer Sobhani, Junaid Malik, Rao Asif, Amjad Malik, Amjad Bukhari, Akhtar Sheikh, Mukarram Khan, Shehzad Farid, Mohammad Imran, Reporters Thaqleen Naqvi, Tariq Saho, Mohammad Shahid, Ejaz Tareen and Rabia Khan were also among those who called on Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

On his way to the sports ground of tehsil Kahror Pacca for workers’ convention, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received roaring reception at Dunyapur Bypss Chowk, 18 Pul stop, Haseena Chowk and 16 Pul stop and addressed briefly with the workers gathered at these places. QUANZHOU, China, Sept. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Documentary film “Return to Zai Tun” is airing on National Geographic starting from September 4, broadcasting to 170 countries and regions worldwide in 43 languages, to reveal the story of Quanzhou, where has been included among UNESCO World Heritage List through the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee as ” Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China” lately. The documentary was jointly produced by Quanzhou Radio and TV Station and Fujian Straits TV.

Exploring China’s Ocean Civilization: Documentary “Return to Zai Tun” Is Coming Soon on National Geographic.

Quanzhou’s successful inscription on the World Heritage List marks a historical achievement of the then Eastern Maritime Silk Road, it’s regarded as a collective memory and common wealth of mankind that’s recognized and treasured by people worldwide. The documentary “Return to Zai Tun” starts with Quanzhou’s naming in ancient time, and takes the voice and perspective of present tense to elaborate on Zai Tun’s past and present as well as the historical connections.

As an outstanding example of world marine trade center port and the only starting point of the Maritime Silk Road recognized by UNESCO, how did Quanzhou emerge from a small fishing village to a prosperous key seaport city? How did the long-distance global ocean trade integrate the diversity of global society and culture, and how to make cross-cultural prosperity a reality – what are the historical driving forces and inheritance genes behind this?

The documentary “Return to Zai Tun” will take the chance to answer the questions through two episodes of 90 minutes in total. It leads with Jacob de Ancona’s oriental voyage journal “The City of Light” to decode the oriental features and influence of China’s marine civilization from a global perspective, and get to know the adventurous, brave, welcoming and diverse people who were born to the sea.

The documentary was produced and polished for nearly four years to ensure the rigorous and accurate historical facts of the documentary while presenting some fresh perspective. The production crew traveled to more than 20 countries and regions to collect historical documents about Quanzhou, including the church version of “The Travels of Marco Polo,” first print of “The City of Light” for study and comparison.

On this basis, the crew interviewed a number of leading experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the National Museum of China to clarify the importance of civil maritime exchange activities in the long history and break through traditional knowledge. The filming team expanded their sights from Quanzhou and followed the nodes of important events along the route to trace physical evidence and contemporary stories, constructing a multi-dimensional cognitive system with Quanzhou as the fulcrum.

The documentary also takes this advantage to contrast the humanistic spirit, folk craftsmanship with the ancient society to draw the picture of inheritance and development, innovation and integrity. The ancient port of Zai Tun was once the largest port in the east, and its evolution can still ignite infinite inspirations to today’s people.
