KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi General Secretary Arslan Khalid has demanded the immediate resignation of Provincial Health Minister Azra Pechuho following a spike in HIV cases among children in Karachi's hospitals. Khalid criticized the Sindh government's handling of the health crisis, highlighting the situation as a failure of the provincial healthcare system.
According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khalid described the transmission of the HIV virus among children at Landhi and Valika hospitals as evidence of negligence and incompetence. He called for accountability measures and insisted that the Provincial Health Minister should resign from her position. Khalid's statement emphasized that the new cases have exposed the shortcomings of the provincial government's healthcare policies and demanded immediate action to address the crisis.
