West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland Cricketers Vie for ICC Men’s Player of the Month

Karachi, The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for its Men’s Player of the Month for May 2024, featuring standout cricketers from the West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland. These players made significant impacts during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and other international fixtures last month.

According to International Cricket Council, West Indies’ Gudakesh Motie, Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Ireland’s Lorcan Tucker are the contenders for the award. Motie was instrumental in the West Indies’ 3-0 series victory over South Africa, taking a total of eight wickets at an average of 8.5 across three matches. Afridi demonstrated his prowess as a fast bowler, securing 10 wickets at an average of 14.5, including key performances against Ireland and England. Tucker, the Irish wicketkeeper-batter, impressed with 227 runs in six innings, boasting an average of 37.83, and captained Ireland in several crucial matches.
