Turbat, The University of Turbat (UoT) has achieved notable success in national competitions, securing the 1st position in a Short Film Competition at the regional level and the 3rd position in a Declamation Contest across Balochistan. These competitions were part of initiatives organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Islamabad.
According to University of Turbat, the university’s photographer, Mr. Dosta, won the 1st position in the qualifying round of the Short Film Competition, which was organized by the NAB HQ for the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Islamabad. Additionally, Miss Amreen Shaukat from UoT’s English Department secured the 3rd position in the English Declamation Contest organized by NAB (Balochistan). These achievements were part of a series of events where universities across Balochistan participated.
Mr. Dosta and Miss Amreen Shaukat were honored with awards during a seminar commemorating International Anti-corruption Day 2023, held by NAB Balochistan on December 9, 2023, in Quetta. The Short Film and Poster Competitions were organized as part of a global effort to engage young people in anti-corruption activities, particularly focusing on combating corruption.
Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat, along with the academic and administrative staff, expressed appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Dosta and Miss Amreen Shaukat for their accomplishments. In his message, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of every citizen’s role in combating corruption in Pakistan and reiterated the university’s commitment to collaborating with NAB in raising public awareness against corruption for a corruption-free Pakistan.
