Haripur, A comprehensive workshop on neuroscience was recently organized by the Department of Psychology and the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Haripur. The event aimed to deepen the understanding of neuroscience among students, faculty, and the broader academic community, addressing the field’s latest developments and their implications on human behavior and mental health.
According to The University of Haripur, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Head of the Psychology Department and Chief Organizer, spearheaded the workshop, attracting a diverse group of experts, scholars, and enthusiasts. The workshop’s primary goal was to explore the complex nature of the human brain and its influence on various societal and educational aspects, highlighting the critical intersection between neuroscience research and practical psychological applications.
Ms. Saira Bano, the Workshop Secretary, was instrumental in managing the event’s logistics, ensuring its successful execution. The workshop featured a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Touqeer Ahmed, Head of the Department of Healthcare Biotechnology at NUST, who contributed significantly to the depth of discussions with his extensive knowledge and experience in neuroscience.
