Quetta: The University of Balochistan’s Department of Physics has announced a call for sealed tenders for equipment and chemicals needed for a project under the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU). The submission deadline for these tenders is set for November 15, 2023.
According to University of Balochistan, the tenders pertain to two specific categories: Equipment and Chemicals, essential for project number 17152. Detailed tender documents are available for a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,500 at the Chairperson’s office of the Physics Department. Interested firms must be registered for General Sales Tax/Income Tax and have a good reputation and experience in supplying the required items.
The university has specified a single-stage two-envelope bidding process that requires a 2% earnest money deposit. Bids are to be submitted in separate envelopes to the Treasurer’s Office within the Admin Block and will be opened on the same day in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. The university also reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in accordance with PPRA rules.
This procurement process is critical for advancing the department’s capabilities in conducting cutting-edge research, as outlined in the NRPU-funded project. Bidders must ensure compliance with all terms, including providing a certificate and affidavit affirming the firm is not blacklisted.
