Thatta: The Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards, Mr. Muhammad Ali Malkani, attended the Independence Day celebration at the College of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Thatta, where he discussed the institution’s rapid development and its new medical program.
According to Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Minister Malkani praised the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan, and his team for their swift work in establishing the college, which he described as the realization of a long-held dream. He highlighted the institution’s role in fulfilling the Pakistan Peoples Party’s vision of serving the nation through education and healthcare advancements.
During his speech, Vice Chancellor Ujjan announced that the college would commence its MBBS program in the upcoming session, aiming to provide high-standard medical education to students in the region. This initiative is expected to greatly enhance the local healthcare services by educating the next generation of medical professionals dedicated to serving the community.
The event also included the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new auditorium at the college, performed by Minister Malkani, symbolizing the ongoing expansion and enhancement of the institution’s facilities.
