Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore’s Department of Product and Industrial Design, recently conducted an educational lecture focused on the application of natural and artificial materials in product design. The session, aimed at the BPID-22 students, featured insights from Mr. Junaid Siddique, CEO of Koncept Interiors, on the diverse materials used in the industry.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Siddique shared his extensive experience in material selection by presenting various wooden panel samples and encouraging tactile engagement through material textures. He underscored the importance of understanding material properties for future professionals in interior design and material manufacturing.

The session was not only an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience but also served as an informative platform to discuss the relevance of material knowledge in the design process. The faculty, including the Chairman of the Department, Associate Professor Dr. Atif Bilal Aslam, and Product Design Subject teachers Ms. Mona Gulzar and Ms. Uroosa Naz, expressed their gratitude to Mr. Siddique for his willingness to share his expertise with UET students, contributing to their academic and professional growth in the field of design.
