Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore’s Sports Department, has successfully concluded its eagerly anticipated Football Tournament for the 2023-2024 season, held at the UET Football Ground. This year’s tournament saw spirited participation from faculties across UET Lahore, including its Faisalabad Campus, UET KSK Campus, Narowal Campus, and RCET Gujranwala, competing in a series of knockout matches that showcased the athletic prowess and team spirit of the students.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the tournament’s final match was a closely contested battle between the Faculty of Electrical and UET New Campus (KSK), with UET New Campus (KSK) emerging victorious with a narrow 1-0 win to claim the championship title. The Faculty of Electrical demonstrated commendable skill and teamwork throughout the tournament to earn the Runner-Up position.

Highlighting individual talent, Mr. Abdul Rasheed (2020-SE-38) was named the Best Player of the Tournament, a testament to his exceptional performance and contribution to his team’s success during the competition.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Hussain, President’s TSA, who served as the Chief Guest. Dr. Amjad distributed trophies and medals to the winning and runner-up teams and took the opportunity to commend the UET Sports Department for their exemplary effort in organizing the Football Tournament. His words of appreciation and encouragement reflected the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic excellence among its students.
