The 10th Global Waqf Conference has started at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur 

Bahawalpur, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):The 10th Global Waqf Conference has started at Islamia University Bahawalpur under the auspices of the Department of Islamic and Conventional Banking, Institute of Business Management and Administrative Sciences. Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur inaugurated the conference. Apart from Pakistan, 19 delegates from Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Malaysia, Nigeria and UK are participating in the conference. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the national and international services of Waqf in the present era.

He said that Islamia University Bahawalpur has developed links with international universities and institutions in recent years. Islamia University Bahawal has been included in the top 800 universities in the world in the recent global ranking by Port Times Higher Education. The holding of the 10th World Waqf Conference in Bahawalpur is a very welcome event where domestic and foreign delegates will discuss Islamic finance governance technology and other social and Our teachers and students will be informed about the latest developments in the economic sector.

The main purpose of Waqf is the welfare and development of the Muslim Ummah. The region of Bahawalpur has a great legacy of Muslim ancestors in the state of Bahawalpur and today teachers and experts from Islamic brotherhood countries have opened new doors for Islamic brotherhood and development. Delegates will discuss the new Islamic financial and finance model and share research and projects with each other that will yield the best results. Professor Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences appreciated the arrival of domestic and foreign delegates present in the conference and thanked Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur for their special patronage.

British scholar Prof. Dr. Humayun Dar informed about innovation and development on behalf of waqf in Islamic banking and finance. International Islamic University Malaysia Professor Topwan Noor Asia Muhammad talked about the management issues of Waqf. Dr. Kabir Hassan, a professor at the University of New Orleans, USA, informed about the initiatives of Waqf in human development.
