MYL to play its role in a drug-free Pakistan 

Lahore, June 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):A meeting of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League was held here at the central secretariat with president MYL Mazhar Mahmood Alvi in the chair. The meeting was attended by central, provincial and district level office-holders. After the deliberations in the meeting, MYL decided to observe June 26 under the slogan of ‘Say No to Drugs’ and hold various activities to highlight the message. Social media activists associated with MQI will also launch trend on the same line on social media. The youth leaders will use the day to spread awareness about the dangers of drugs.

Speaking on the occasion, President MYL Mazhar Mahmood Alvi said that the poison of drugs is eating into the vitals of our society. Our youth is getting their lives destroyed because of the drugs addiction of various types. Their actions also bring the families into disrepute and cause them shame in society. He said that more than ten million people are drug addicts.

Giving references of the fight against drugs, President MYL said that in addition to enabling the youth to get rid of the addiction, it is important to engage them in positive activities. He said that MYL is aware of the dangers that drugs pose and is prepared to become part of the efforts for a drug-free Pakistan. He said that the organization will hold seminar, walks and conference on June 26 as part of awareness raising efforts.

He said that it is the responsibility of the government to take action against those elements who are involved in the heinous drug business, adding that rehabilitation centers should be set up at district levels to enable the addicted youth to become productive members of society. MYL leaders Mansoor Qasim Awan, Muhammad Zeeshan, Haroon Sani, Abdul Hannan Tahir, Imran Younis, Rana Waheed Shahzad, Qaiser Mahmood and others attended the meeting.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri grieved on the death of Dr Farooq Sattar’s mother 

Lahore, June 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):MQI founding leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow on the death of Dr Farooq Sattar’s mother. In his condolence message, he prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace and give courage and fortitude to the family to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, and Qazi Zahid Hussain also expressed their condolences to senior politician Dr Farooq Sattar over the death of his mother. The PAT termed the sad demise a big loss for the family and prayed to Allah to rest her soul in peace. Preparations for collective sacrifice 2022 in full swing 

Lahore, June 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, vice-president of MQI, has said that the arrangements have been completed for the sacrifice of small and big animals on the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha. He said that 50 administrative committees have also started working. The registration process has also been launched across the country. The camps for collective sacrifices will be set up in more than 100 cities. The central slaughter house will be established in Lahore like the practice of the previous years with state of the art facilities.

Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan made these remarks while addressing the participants of the meeting of the administrative committees. Jawwad Hamid, Hafiz Khurram Shahzad, Ayub Ansari, Saeed Akhtar, Mian Zahid Javed, Abbas Naqshbandi, Mushtaq Ahmad, Shafqat Nadeem, and others were present on the occasion.

Iqbal Ahmad Khan said that healthy animals are being purchased in line with the requirements of Shariah. He said that the thousands of volunteers associated with different forums of MQI will distribute meat among the poor and needy. He said that a mechanism has been made for the maintenance and distribution of the meat in hot and humid conditions. He further added that international best practices will be followed for the disposal of the solid waste.

Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan said that the services of Minhaj Welfare Foundation are before everyone to see. He said that the funds so procured through the sale of hides are spent on the educational, and welfare projects of MQI. He said that Aghosh Orphan Care Home is one flagship welfare project of MQI in addition to educational institutions that are run with the donated money. He said that the workers of MQI take part in the activity of collective sacrifice purely for the pleasure of Allah.

MQI Lahore leaders call on Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri 

Lahore, June 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):A delegation of MQI Lahore chapter led by president Lahore Rana Nafees Hussain Qadri called on Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. Chairman Supreme Council congratulated the Lahore chapter on holding a rally and raising a voice for justice for the martyrs of Model Town tragedy.

Speaking to the workers, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that speaking up for justice for the families of the martyrs is part of our faith. He said that the barbarity committed on June 17, 2014 will never be pardoned, adding that we pray to judiciary to play its role in the dispensation of justice.

He said that exemplary programs of lectures on the Holy Quran and Durood are being held regularly throughout the city. He said that membership drive, reorganization and mass contact campaign are being pursued simultaneously, stating that the process down to the union level will be completed soon.

Equality and rule of law two guiding principles of State of Medina: Allama Idrees Qadri

Lahore, June 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):Senior MQI leader Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri has said that the model of the State of Medina remains incomparable even today despite the passage of the fourteen centuries. He said that the problems and challenges facing humanity today can only be overcome by implementing the principles that formed the State of Medina. He said that the Constitution of Medina City was the best legal document that gives primacy to unity and equality of all before the law. He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) fostered unity and harmony among the followers of different religions, communities and faith. He (SAW) worked out a system of rights and duties that gave dignity to the common man.

Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri made these remarks while addressing a Friday congregation in Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam in Model Town. He said that an effective way of eradicating extremism and sectarianism from society lies in taking guidance from the State of Medina, for the Constitution of Medina taught people equality and majesty of law. He said that there was absolutely no space for violation of the rule of law and everyone, no matter who he was, submitted to the supremacy of law.

He said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) bridged the gulf between the rich and the poor and treated them equally. Allama Idrees Qadri said that the nations get destroyed due to injustice. He said that whosoever supports the status quo actually violates the guiding principles of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He said that the Constitution of Medina treated everyone equally and there was no provision of any superior treatment for anyone.
