National Youth Awards ceremony to be held on August 21-22 in Islamabad

Lahore, July 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Central President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League Mazhar Mahmood Alvi has said that the National Youth Awards ceremony will be held on August 21-22 in Islamabad. He said that awards will be presented to various youths belonging to different walks of life in recognition of their meritorious services. He said that special teams have been set up to locate talent across the country.

Mazhar Mahmood Alvi said that MYL has decided to play its role to explore the hidden talent and bring it to the mainstream. He said that it is a tragedy that our talented youths continue to be neglected until such time that they are spotted and recognized internationally. He said that we need to run indigenous talent hunt programs to detect talent and groom it.

President MYL said that Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with talented and capable youth. He said that our challenge is to have programs that hunt their talent and then groom them to compete internationally. He said that distinguished personalities of Pakistan will grace the awards ceremony and this event will prove to be a milestone in promoting the culture of prizing the youth talent in the country.

Hajj is a manifestation of equality among human beings: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Lahore, July 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):Hajj is a great manifestation of human equality. During the course of performing its rituals, all pilgrims become equal without any discrimination of caste, race, ethnicity and colour. They prostrate themselves before their Lord and beseech Him for forgiveness with tearful eyes.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks in his congratulatory message to Muslims on the blessed occasion of Hajj. He said that Hajj teaches believers to fear God, adopt piety and cleanliness and ward off all satanic insinuations with strong faith and convictions. He said that we should always pray to Allah to strengthen our faith, adding that it is the only way to resist the evil temptations.

The MQI leader said that the rituals of Hajj are all about reverence for Allah, and being immersed in the love of His chosen people. They educate us to be humble and beseech Him for forgiveness and become deserving of His blessings and mercy. He said that unity among Muslims of all regions and continents is an important highlight of the pilgrimage that forges a sense of togetherness in the spirit of faith.

“Hajj is a great message of unity against all kinds of divisions. It heralds equality among humanity. The performance of rituals of faith is in fact an admission of Oneness of Allah Almighty from the core of one’s heart,” he concluded.

Arrangements completed for collective sacrifice under MWF

Lahore, July 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minhaj Welfare Foundation has completed all arrangements for offering of the collective sacrifice across the country including Lahore. Modern slaughter house has been set up in Lahore. Animals have reached the central sacrificial place that will be slaughtered over the course of three days of Eid.

MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur visited the central sacrificial place along with MWF Director Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Jawwad Hamid and the heads of the administrative committees. The senior leaders inspected the arrangements and passed special instructions for upkeep of the animals, their food and security. Khurram Shahzad, Haji Manzoor Hussain, Ayub Ansari, Mian Zahid Javed, Saeed Akhtar and others were present on the occasion.

Talking to the heads of different administrative committees, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that massive arrangements have been made for the distribution of meat among the deserving like the practice of the previous years. He said that cooked food will be distributed in different hospitals of Lahore during the three days of Eid. He said that inmates serving jail terms will also be included in the happiness of the festival. He said that MWF volunteers will distribute the food in the jails.

MQI Secretary General said that thousands of people pre-booked their share in the sacrifice of animals this year as well, which is a sign of their trust in the MWF and its Eid operation. He said that a team of expert butchers will perform the ritual of slaughtering in the presence of veterinary doctors and religious scholars.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the services of MWF for the ailing humanity are like an open book. He said that hundreds of thousands of children are being provided free education. Orphan Care Home, an institution of highest standards, has been set up that provides educational and residential facilities to the orphan children absolutely free of cost.

He said that wells for the provision of clean drinking water are being dug up in the far-flung areas of Punjab and Sindh. He said that hundreds of other schemes are being implemented for the provision of drinkable water to the people. He asked the people to include others in their happiness on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, stating that this is the essence of the festival.

MQI delegation visits Iranian Consulate in Lahore

Lahore, July 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):A high-powered MQI delegation led by Director Interfaith Relations Sohail Raza called on Agha Mohammad Reza Nazeri, Consul General Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore and Agha Jafar Ronas, Director General Cultural Centre Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore. The delegation conveyed congratulations to the newly elected Iranian President H.E. Sayyid Ebrahim Raisol-Sadati on behalf of MQI and expressed their best wishes.

Speaking on the occasion, Sohail Ahmad Raza said that we are hopeful that the relationship between brotherly Pakistan and Iran will become stronger in the future and that both countries will work together for prosperity of their peoples, and the promotion of regional peace and development.

Daughter of MQI senior leader Jawwad Hamid gets Lady Dianna Award

Lahore, July 06, 2021 (PPI-OT):Eiman Jawwad, daughter of senior MQI leader Jawwad Hamid, has been awarded Lady Dianna Award for her service to humanity. She is one of the youngest Pakistanis who has been honoured with this award. Eiman Jawwad distributed thousands of garments among the patients of the Burn Centre in Lahore and it is in recognition of her unique service that she was chosen to receive this award.

Speaking on the occasion, Jawwad Hamid said that his family and he were hugely proud of the achievement of their daughter. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and MQI have taught us how to love humanity. He said that we are transferring this learning to the next generations. He said that core of our religion is to serve human beings without any discrimination of caste, creed and colour.

Dialogue needed among social organizations on contemporary challenges: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Lahore, June 28, 2021 (PPI-OT): MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the danger of extremism and terrorism is still lurking. He said that the terrorist incident in Lahore augurs ill and must ring the alarm bells. He said that terrorists and terrorist thinking have not been eliminated wholly, and it is for this reason that the people and law enforcement agencies will have to keep their eyes wide open.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that in view of the changing social, economic and regional circumstances, it is important that social movements engage one another in a dialogue. He said that Islam has provided guidance on every subject, adding that these teachings need to be communicated to the world in line with the contemporary requirements. He said that the religious scholars, intellectuals and the experts of religious sciences have a central role to play in this mission.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated the Directorate of Training for arranging a four-day international conference and stated that religious and social movements should exchange views candidly for the solution of the problems facing the Muslim world. Meanwhile, MQI’s Directorate of Training has organized a four-day online seminar on the subject of the role of religious organizations in the changing world from June 27 onward.

The seminar will conclude on June 30. The scholars of international repute will deliver lectures. Those who have been invited to speak at the event include MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Mufti Irshad Saeedi, Allama Muhammad Ramzan Qadri, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, Allama Sadiq Qureshi and MQI Secretary-General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur. These guests will deliver online lectures on the topics of internal and external dynamics responsible for the spread of extremism in Pakistan.
