Karachi, Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) will hold elections for its Student Council, encompassing eight student societies, on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The voting, scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the university’s premises, will determine representatives for societies ranging from Science to Music.

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai highlighted the elections as a cornerstone of SMIU’s commitment to fostering leadership and democratic values among students. He expressed his hopes for a peaceful election process where democratic principles are respected and students participate freely. Mr. Muhammad Naeem Ahmed, Director of Students Affairs and Counselling, commended the contesting student panels for their enthusiasm and urged all society members to vote responsibly and maintain discipline during the elections.
