Seminar on Space Exploration Highlights Future Challenges and Advances

Lahore, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore hosted a seminar titled “From Space Missions to Space Explorations” at the Transportation Hall under the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Islamic Studies. The event featured retired NASA Associate Director and Program Manager, Mr. Mansoor Ahmed, who shared insights from his extensive career in space science, focusing on advancements made through the Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Mansoor Ahmed discussed key topics such as the workings of the universe, the Big Bang Evolution, and the possibilities of life beyond Earth. His presentation aimed to enhance the understanding of astronomy and the continuous challenges that the field faces. The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Rafique, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Islamic Studies, along with Prof. Dr. Anwar Latif, Chairman of the Physics Department, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman of the Mathematics Department, Prof. Dr. Mahammad Shahbaz, Chairman of the Islamic Studies Department, and numerous faculty members and students ranging from undergraduate to PhD levels.

The session concluded with remarks from Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Rafique, who expressed gratitude to all participants and especially to Mr. Mansoor Ahmed for his invaluable contributions to the seminar. The event underscored UET’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers.
