Lahore, August 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Punjab University Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Research Journals Steering Committee organized training and learning session for the editorial staff of PU research journals. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Director ORIC Prof Dr Shakil Ahmad, faculty members and others were present.

In his address, the VC appreciated the organization of the session and reiterated that Editors should be benefitted from the learning this session. Dr Shakil Ahmad thanked the participants and told about the two PU Journals (Journal of Statistics and Operation Research; and Punjab University Journal of Mathematics) received their first Impact Factor in 2023.

Prof Dr Sohail Chand from Statistics and Dr Zaeem ul Haq Bhatti Mathematics shared their experiences and strategies of their journey to get an impact factor for their research journals. Later, the VC presented appreciation shields to the Chief Editors of two PU Impact Factor Journals.
