Lahore, Musarat Jamshed Cheema, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has highlighted the political challenges faced by the party, claiming that the ruling party’s fear of PTI’s popularity signifies a broader issue of oppression within the nation’s political framework. Cheema’s remarks came amid discussions on the recent decisions regarding reserved seats for women and minorities, which he termed as a victory for truth.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Cheema emphasized the indispensability of PTI and its founding chairman in Pakistan’s political landscape, describing them as central to the nation’s political integrity. He voiced concerns over the alleged mistreatment of PTI leaders and supporters, particularly around the incidents of May 9, which he argued should be thoroughly investigated by a judicial commission to expose the truth.

Cheema also addressed the issues facing wheat farmers and called for the immediate commencement of wheat purchases to allow farmers to prepare for the next planting season. He criticized the current administration for its handling of agricultural policies, which he claims has led to significant hardships for farmers.

During his statement, Cheema reiterated PTI’s commitment to peaceful and democratic expressions of dissent and outlined the party’s ongoing efforts to demand accountability and transparency through legal and electoral means.
