Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri Highlights the Constitution of Medina as a Blueprint for Resolving Modern Crises


Lahore, In a significant address at a conference in Haripur, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, emphasized the timeless relevance of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), particularly pointing to the Constitution of Medina as a foundational text offering solutions to contemporary problems. Prof. Qadri underscored the Constitution’s historical significance as the first of its kind, advocating for its principles of peace, security, and justice as essential to overcoming the crises facing Pakistan today.



According to Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Qadri elaborated on how the Constitution of Medina established a city-state marked by justice and inclusive citizenship across religious and social divides. This historic document, he noted, set forth measures for the welfare of the public, as well as the protection of human life, property, and safety.



During his speech, Prof. Qadri also lauded Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for his analytical work “The Constitution of Medina and the Concept of a Welfare State,” a comprehensive two-volume, 1400-page analysis that builds on the initial arrangement of the Constitution’s articles by Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in 1999. This recent publication, Prof. Qadri stated, stands as the most extensive research on the Constitution of Medina to date, offering valuable insights not only for Pakistan but for all Islamic nations striving for development and prosperity.



The conference drew participation from prominent figures, including Minhaj-ul-Quran International Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and other notable personalities across various fields. Together, they discussed the implications of adopting the Constitution of Medina’s principles in contemporary governance and social welfare, highlighting the document’s potential as a guide for creating peaceful and prosperous societies.
