Islamabad, On the 76th anniversary of Kashmir’s Black Day, Asif Ali Zardari, the former President of Pakistan and the current President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, has declared the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to be the “biggest prison in the world.” In a powerful statement, he asserted the fundamental and democratic right of the people of IIOJK to freedom from Indian occupation, expressing his unwavering support for their cause.
According to a news release by the Pakistan Peoples Party, Zardari emphasized that the voice of the people of IIOJK cannot be silenced by force, branding India as a “terrorist country.” He pointed out that the world is beginning to realize India’s true nature. He traced his party’s commitment to the Kashmir cause back to the days of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, stating that if Bhutto had not been martyred, IIOJK would have already achieved freedom from Indian rule. He also highlighted the efforts of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in amplifying the voices of the Occupied Kashmiri people on international platforms, and commended Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for exposing the brutalities of Narendra Modi and branding India as a terrorist country.
President Zardari vowed that the Pakistan Peoples Party will relentlessly continue to advocate for the rights of the Kashmiri people, expressing his belief that the day is near when IIOJK will finally be liberated from Indian occupation.
