Pasban Democratic Party Leaders Decry Police Brutality in Sindh

Karachi, Leaders of the Pasban Democratic Party, Vice Chairman Rafiq Khaskheli and President of Badin District Noor Mohammad Chandio, have issued a strong condemnation against the ongoing police violence in Sindh, calling for immediate action to protect vulnerable families.

According to Pasban Democratic Party, the officials highlighted a recent incident involving extreme police brutality and looting targeting a mother, her daughters, and children in Sindh. They questioned the ability of IG Sindh, DIG Mirpur Khas, and SP Umarkot to fulfill their duties in safeguarding the oppressed, critiquing the Sindh government’s failure to protect its citizens from such abuses.

The Pasban leaders expressed their dismay at the systemic issues within the judiciary and law enforcement, which they claim have allowed for continued violence and injustice against innocent civilians, particularly women and children. They accused local police and political leaders of indifference and complicity in these abuses, demanding they either take decisive action to protect the populace or openly admit their inability to do so.

This call to action follows longstanding issues with police misconduct in the region, with the Pasban Democratic Party highlighting the need for systemic judicial reform to provide timely and affordable justice to the citizens of Sindh. The leaders also urged for a reassessment of the judicial system to meet modern standards and effectively serve the community.
