Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Tours Pindi Cricket Stadium, Calls for Upgrades

Rawalpindi, The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) conducted an inspection of the Pindi Cricket Stadium, assessing the venue’s facilities amidst the ongoing HBL PSL 9 cricket matches. The visit, aimed at evaluating the stadium’s current state and its suitability for international events, saw the PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, and Chief Selector, Wahab Riaz, briefing the chairman on various aspects of the venue.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the Chairman stressed the importance of elevating the stadium to international standards. He directed relevant authorities to draft a comprehensive plan for upgrading the facility. Key among the proposed improvements is the replacement of temporary seating with permanent, high-quality options and enhancements to the infrastructure of the stadium’s enclosures.

The Pindi Cricket Stadium, which is currently hosting matches of the HBL Pakistan Super League’s ninth edition scheduled through 10 March, is poised for significant enhancements to meet the international criteria set forth by the Chairman of PCB. The call for upgrades underscores the PCB’s commitment to providing world-class facilities for cricket fans and athletes alike.
