Karachi, August 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Broadcasters Association in a statement expressed its deep sorrow and grief over the murder of the senior journalist and Sukkur Bureau Chief of Kawish Television Network (KTN) Jan Muhammad Mahar in Sukkur by the unidentified assailants.

PBA strongly condemned the incident and demanded the Government of Sindh to investigate and take immediate steps for the arrest of the culprits involved in the assassination of the deceased journalist.

PBA has also expressed its deep concern on the incidents / crimes against journalists. It urged the Government to take necessary steps to protect the journalists to ensure freedom of press and independence of media.
