Lahore, January 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):President of Pakistan American Contractors Association and General Secretary of New York Overseas Pakistanis Khursheed Bhalli called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his residence today. Ticket holder Provincial Assembly Saeed Bhalli and Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti were also present on the occasion. Ch Parvez Elahi said that overseas Pakistanis are prominent in strengthening Pak-US relations; Pakistani citizens are playing a positive role in US legislatures.
He said that overseas Pakistanis send billions of dollars monthly to manage the country’s economy, they are also ambassadors of Pakistan outside the country, in return for their valuable services they have been given the right to vote to choose better leadership. Ch Parvez Elahi said that in the mini budget, we have voted to strengthen the economy in the future, now the government has the best opportunity to take steps, the government should take steps to benefit the common man and this benefit should be clearly seen.
Khursheed Bhalli said that there are many citizens of Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum and Sialkot in the United States and other countries. Former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain solved our huge problem by facilitating repatriation of dead bodies of overseas Pakistanis for which the entire Pakistani community is grateful.
