Karachi, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) is proud to announce the introduction of Orthopedic surgical services at Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Hospital, Gwadar. The hospital is managed by IHHN under a public-private partnership with the Government of Balochistan. The newly-established Orthopedic Department at GDA Hospital is a testament to IHHN’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services for the people of Gwadar and signifies a major stride in improving medical facilities across Pakistan.
To ensure the successful implementation of Orthopedic Surgery at the hospital, IHHN set up an Orthopedic Operation Theatre staffed with a team of skilled and proficient healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and essential support staff. Furthermore, in a bid to enhance the hospital’s medical capabilities, IHHN has also appointed two medical specialists and two gynecologists at GDA Hospital, Gwadar. The decision to establish the Orthopedic Department was motivated by the personal interest of Mr. Mujeeb Ur Rehman Qambrani, Director General, Gwadar Development Authority; and Mr. Mir Hammal Kalmati, Member of the Provincial Assembly from Gwadar.
The introduction of Orthopedic surgical services marks a historic moment for the people of Gwadar, as they will now have access to specialized medical care in their hometown for the first time. The initiation of Orthopedic Surgery at GDA Hospital also reflects IHHN’s unwavering dedication to improving the delivery of quality healthcare to patients in need and its commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of the residents of Gwadar.
