Abbottabad, The President’s Trophy Grade-II 2023-24 final is set to commence tomorrow at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, featuring a showdown between Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Eshaal Associates. Scheduled as a four-day match from June 8 to 11, the teams will compete for a top prize of PKR 1.5 million, while the runner-up will receive PKR 0.75 million.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the tournament saw participation from 24 teams divided into four pools, with the leaders from each group advancing to the semi-finals. OGDCL secured their spot in the final by defeating Khayaban-e-Amin, and Eshaal Associates triumphed over MIT Solutions.
Key players to watch include OGDCL’s Adil Amin, who has scored 410 runs in six matches, and Jawad Ali, who leads with 37 wickets. For Eshaal Associates, Afaq Ahmed has been prominent with 603 runs in five games, while Hamza Sajjad has taken 18 wickets. In addition to the team prizes, individual awards of PKR 50,000 will be given to the best batter, bowler, wicket-keeper, and player of the tournament.
