Islamabad, April 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): NUST has signed a tri-party Cooperation Protocol with Turk Havacilik Uzay Sanayii (Turkish Aerospace, Pakistan), and Bursa Aerospace and Defense Cluster (BASDEC), Turkiye. BASDEC is a consortium working under the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and comprises 90+ companies and 7000+ high-tech workforce working in the aerospace and defense sector.
The cooperation protocol covers bilateral and multilateral project partnerships, research and development initiatives, product development, training and testing activities, academic engagements, and investment between the parties in the aerospace sector. Dr. Mustafa Hatipoglu, Chairman of BASDEC, said: “BASDEC is happy to establish this partnership, and signing this protocol is a significant milestone in this pursuit. The 90+ companies in the consortium of BASDEC, with USD 25 billion in exports, will have access to Pakistan’s emerging market through the National Science and Technology Park.
