NTU’s Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid Presents at “Empowering Women Leaders’ Summit” in Islamabad

FAISALABAD, Engr. Dr. Hafsa Jamshaid of the National Textile University Faisalabad took part in the “Empowering Women Leaders’ Summit,” held at the Marriott hotel in Islamabad. The summit, a culmination of a two-year US-funded training program, brought together 25 senior leaders from higher educational institutions across Pakistan, focusing on nurturing female leadership in the nation’s higher education sector.

According to a news release by the National Textile University (NTU), the event was orchestrated by Michigan State University’s College of Education and MSU VIPP. Notably, the summit and the associated training program garnered financial support from the US Department of State and the United States Embassy.

A standout moment from the summit was Dr. Hafsa’s presentation of her inquiry project titled “Awareness about Environmental Issues in HEI: Fostering a Prospective to Combat Climatic Change.” Dr. Hafsa, known for her extensive work on sustainability and the circular economy in textiles, elaborated on the activities and awareness seminars covered in her report. Projects emphasizing the life upscale of products were showcased, receiving commendable feedback from the attending delegation.
