Dhaka, Pakistan women’s cricket team suffered a setback as wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali was ruled out of the second ODI against Bangladesh due to a grade-I strain in her right quad. Muneeba experienced discomfort during the first ODI at the Shere Bangla Stadium on Saturday.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Following an assessment by the team’s physiotherapist and the PCB medical panel, it was confirmed that the 26-year-old had suffered a grade-I strain. Her availability for the third ODI on November 10 will depend on a further evaluation of her match fitness.
Pakistan currently leads the three-match ODI series 1-0, having secured a five-wicket victory in the first match. The series forms a part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25.
