Jamshoro, The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Jamshoro conducted its entrance test on January 6th, 2024, for the academic session 2023-2024. More than 3700 students appeared in the test for various undergraduate degree and diploma courses.
According to Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan, visited the test center where students were solving question papers. The test was held for admission to a range of courses offered at LUMHS, including Doctor of Physiotherapy, Doctor of Pharmacy, BS Nursing, and BS Biomedical Engineering, among others. The University has allocated 100 seats for Doctor of Physiotherapy at the Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, 50 seats for the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Bilawal Medical College, and 80 seats for Doctor of Pharmacy. Other courses like BS Forensic Science in Forensic Biology and Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology, BS Radiologic Technology, BS Medical Laboratory Technology, and various diploma programs in fields like CT technology, MRI technology, blood banking and transfusion, and more, are also part of the admissions.
Prof. Dr. Ikram Din Ujjan expressed that the university has introduced several new courses, providing students with opportunities to secure their futures in diverse fields of medical sciences. This step is seen as a significant effort by LUMHS to expand its educational offerings and accommodate the growing interest in medical studies among the youth.
The entrance test marks a critical phase in the academic journey of aspiring medical professionals, underscoring LUMHS’s commitment to fostering excellence in medical education and research.
