Karachi Community Leaders Demand Justice for Maulana Masoodur Rehman Usmani

Karachi, A condolence meeting in memory of Maulana Masoodur Rehman Usmani, who was killed in a shooting attack in Ghori Town, was held, where leaders called for justice and the arrest of his murderers. The meeting, led by prominent social and religious figures, also focused on addressing sectarian tensions in the community.

According to Aafia Movement, the meeting was presided over by Qari Imam Hussain Hamdam, a central leader of Aafia Movement Pakistan, President of Hamad and Naat Council, President of Madrasa Siraj-ul-Islam and Khadijata-ul-Kubra (Lilbnain wal-Banat). Maulana Masoodur Rehman Usmani, a well-known religious scholar and leader of the Sunni Ulama Council, was honored at the event.

Qari Hussain, during the meeting, emphasized that the failure to arrest Maulana Masoodur Rehman Usmani’s killers was a significant concern and a “question mark” on the efficacy of law enforcement. The attendees condemned the murder and expressed a strong demand for bringing the killers to justice, highlighting the incident as part of a broader conspiracy to incite communal strife in the country.

The meeting also addressed the potential risks of sectarian violence if legal action was not pursued against those responsible for fueling such tensions. The participants unanimously called for prayers for Maulana Usmani’s soul and for efforts to extinguish the flames of sectarianism in Pakistan.
