Islamabad, Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, a leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam, extended his congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari for winning the presidential election and securing his second term as the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The congratulatory message highlighted an eight-point agreement between Jamiat Ulema Pakistan and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) prior to the election, expressing hope for its implementation to address pressing national issues.

According to Jamiat Ulema Islam, Zubair praised Zardari, often referred to as the “king of reconciliation,” for his role in potentially ending political uncertainty in the country. He emphasized the need for concrete actions to tackle inflation, unemployment, religious hatred, injustice, and unrest, expressing optimism that Zardari’s leadership could bring about significant improvements in these areas.
