Islamia University of Bahawalpur Shines in THE 2024 Subject Rankings

Bahawalpur, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has garnered significant recognition at both national and international levels in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings for 2024. Prof. Dr. Asad Ullah Madani, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell at IUB, announced the achievement, emphasizing the university’s improvement in various subjects compared to its performance in 2023.

According to a news release by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, the university has exhibited substantial progress under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, with enhancements in the quality of teaching and research activities. The IUB secured a spot in the 501 to 600 range globally in Business and Economics and Social Sciences, showcasing its strengths in these areas. Additionally, the university made strides in the 601 to 800 ranking range for Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Clinical, and Health Sciences. Notably, the IUB’s Computer Sciences, Business, Economics, and Social Sciences departments received prominent recognition in the THE rankings for the first time.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar extended his congratulations to the faculty, students, and staff for their exceptional performance, highlighting the university’s ongoing journey towards becoming a globally recognized institution. He emphasized the university’s unique position not only in Pakistan but also on the global stage, attributing this success to the unwavering commitment and hard work of the IUB community.
