Islamabad, A recent survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan and Dun and Bradstreet Pakistan has unveiled the current household financial conditions of Pakistanis. The findings indicate that approximately 26% of the population reports their financial situation as good, while a significant 60% have experienced a worsening in their household financial conditions.
According to a news release by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the survey encompassed a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from various regions of the country. Participants were asked to compare their current household financial situation to that of the last six months. Of those surveyed, 4% stated their situation was ‘much better’, 22% found it ‘better’, and 13% reported no change. On the other hand, 38% reported worse conditions, and 22% stated their situation was ‘much worse’. Less than 1% of the participants either did not know or provided no response.
This survey provides a crucial insight into the financial wellbeing of Pakistani households, highlighting the challenges faced by a majority of the population.
