Islamabad: A workshop for administrative staff at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) saw a significant focus on workplace ethics and stress management as it reached its midpoint. The six-day event, organized by the Office of Professional Training under the Directorate of Human Resource Management and Development, featured sessions aimed at enhancing the skills and resilience of the university’s administrative personnel.
Dr. Inam ul Haq, Director Administration, led an interactive session on the third day, addressing the challenges faced by administrative staff. He underscored the importance of ethics in both verbal and written official communication and the critical role of stress management in maintaining productivity and professional integrity.
Practical strategies for managing stress were a key highlight of Dr. Inam’s session. He encouraged participants to adopt healthy lifestyle choices and emphasized the value of religious and moral principles in fostering personal resilience. Dr. Inam suggested regular engagement with spiritually rooted texts as a means of deepening ethical insights and navigating complex workplace issues.
Dr. Faryal Ambreen, Incharge Dawah Center for Women, praised the initiative and Dr. Inam’s guidance on stress management. Highlighting the Dawah Center’s contribution to the training, she announced the distribution of “Shamail-e-Tirmizi,” a hadith compilation on the character and attributes of Prophet Muhammad, to all attendees. The gesture was warmly received, adding to the participants’ personal and professional growth.
Dr. Inam personally handed out the books to the workshop participants, expressing gratitude for the Dawah Center’s support. The workshop is set to continue with additional sessions aimed at further enhancing the administrative capabilities of the staff and fostering a productive work environment.
