Qiraat Competition at Women University Mardan Showcases Student Talent

MARDAN: The Department of Islamic Studies at Women University Mardan organized a Qiraat Competition on the 25th of August, in conjunction with the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The event highlighted the students' dedication to the Holy Quran as they participated with enthusiasm and demonstrated their recitation skills.

According to Women University - Mardan, students from various departments took part in the competition, with Ms. Hafsa from the Department of Economics securing the first position. Areesha, a third-semester student from the Department of Biochemistry, claimed the second position, while Hira Ali, also in her third semester from the Department of Zoology, earned the third position. The participants were evaluated by Dr. Maria Gul and Dr. Erum Fatima, lecturers from the Department of Islamic Studies, based on their pronunciation and adherence to the rules of Tajweed.

The Department of Islamic Studies expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for her unwavering support and acknowledged the contributions of HOD Ms. Rashida Parveen, faculty members, and students for their efforts in organizing the event. The competition served as a notable occasion to celebrate the Holy Quran and the students' talents and devotion.
