IIUI holds Kashmir Solidarity Walk 

Islamabad, February 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):The students and employees of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) participated in a walk held here on Friday that was held to show Solidarity to the people of Kashmir. It started from the university’s main campus mosque and ended at Faculty Block 1 of the main campus.

The walk was an activity related to Kashmir solidarity week which was observed at the initiative of the government to strengthen the message of solidarity to the Kashmiri people, in their heroic struggle against the Indian security forces brutalities in the occupied territory. The walk was led by the Students Advisor, Dr. Touqeer Hussain Sargana, who said on the occasion that IIUI being an international university will stand by the nation for projecting the cause of Kashmir.

Participants said this walk is a symbol of the fact that all segments of society including the academicians and the students have the same voice for Kashmir cause and they stand together with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their struggle for freedom. The walk’s participants holding banners and placards marched from central mosque to university’s faculty’s blocks 1 and 2, raising slogans in favour of the Kashmir people.
