ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Groups and Fixtures Announced for the USA and West Indies Tournament


Dubai, The fixtures for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, to be co-hosted by the USA and West Indies, have been confirmed. The tournament, spanning 29 days, will see matches played across three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean.



According to International Cricket Council, the tournament will kick off on 1 June 2024, with the USA taking on Canada in Dallas. The following day, fellow hosts West Indies will face Papua New Guinea in Guyana. The event will be divided into four groups, each comprising five teams, with the top two from each group progressing to the Super Eight phase, followed by the knockout semi-finals and final.



Group A features co-hosts USA, arch-rivals India and Pakistan, along with Canada and Ireland. Group B includes the last two Men’s T20 World Cup winners, England and Australia, as well as Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. Group C comprises the West Indies, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea, while Group D has South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal.



The tournament’s highlight will be the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan match scheduled for 9 June at the new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island, New York. The tournament will conclude with the final set for 29 June in Barbados.
