Faisalabad, Humayun Akhtar Khan, Senior Vice-President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and NA-97 constituency candidate, has committed to an extensive development plan for the region, including the establishment of warehouses, IT centers, and industrial zones. This pledge was made during his door-to-door election campaign in Kalianwala Bazar, Faisalabad.
According to Istehkam-e-Pakistan, Khan’s recent campaign visit to Kalianwala Bazar was marked by a warm welcome from the local community, with prominent business leaders and elders endorsing him and his panel. Khan expressed concern over the current state of the constituency, describing it as one of the most backward areas in Punjab, and emphasized his commitment to its transformation.
Khan outlined a robust development agenda for the constituency, aiming to improve living conditions through initiatives such as the installation of water filtration plants, improvements to the sewage system, and enhancements in health and education services at the Union Council level. He also promised to address infrastructural issues by paving streets, laying a network of connecting roads, and taking practical steps to support farmers and the youth.
The candidate further highlighted his intention to restore and fully implement welfare programs such as the health card and Ehsaas program, advocating for these initiatives in the legislative houses. He stressed that his campaign is not against any community but against the outdated politics that have dominated for the last 50 years, and he vowed to use his influence to ensure that police stations and patwar houses serve the public effectively, rather than being sources of intimidation.
Khan urged the voters of his constituency to participate actively in the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8, presenting it as a critical opportunity to change their destiny. He criticized past politicians for their ineffectiveness and corruption, stating that the public has grown disillusioned with them and is ready for change.
Khan’s campaign focuses on tangible improvements and promises a departure from the traditional political approach that has long been prevalent in the region. His emphasis on development, transparency, and public welfare marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Faisalabad’s NA-97 constituency.
