The teams are set to play a series of matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, culminating in a final showdown on November 8.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, this event marks a significant moment for women’s cricket in the country, with teams engaging in a round-robin format before the top two face off in the final. This tri-series follows a competitive one-day series between West Indies Women A and Pakistan Women A, which concluded with a victory for the visiting team.

Pakistan Women A, led by Rameen Shamim, has had to make an adjustment to their lineup due to Tuba Hassan’s injury, bringing in Kaynat Hafeez, who has prior experience in one ODI against England in 2019. With six players who have international caps, the team boasts a blend of experienced and emerging talents.

On the other side, West Indies Women A, captained by the top run-scorer of the one-day series, Rashada Williams, are looking to carry their momentum into the T20 series. The team has already expressed a strong desire to replicate their one-day series success in the faster-paced T20 format.

Thailand Women Emerging enters the fray under the leadership of Thipatcha Putthawong, who conveyed her excitement about playing in such a historic venue and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board. With seven of their players having T20I experience, Thailand is eager to showcase its capabilities on this inaugural tour.

The series promises to be a thrilling opportunity for fans to witness the burgeoning talent in women’s cricket and for the teams to display their skills on the international stage. The Gaddafi Stadium, a venue with a storied past, is set to add another chapter to its history with this groundbreaking event.
