Bahawalpur, December 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):The transportation and fuel management section of the Green Campus Project successfully organized a second cycling event at main Campus IUB. The event aimed at propagating immense environmental and health benefits of cycling and to persuade students and employees of the IUB to maximize the use of the bicycle. Dean Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Syndicate members Dr. Samar Fahad, Dr. Kalsoom Akhtar and Dr. Fatima from the psychology department graced the event with their presence.
Head of waste management Dr. Ammar, Head of paper management Dr. Areeba Khan, Head fuel and transport management Dr. Kashif, president GYM, IUB Ali Zafar along with Director GCP Dr. Abid Gill organized the event. Dr. Abid Gill briefed the participant that GCP aims at increasing the pollution-free vehicles in total no of vehicles in IUB. It is an effective measure to tackle ongoing air pollution in major cities of Pakistan.
